Washing Machine related flooding can happen at any time, from hoses with ruptures or failed fill switches, to cracked fittings, internal failures from clamps, valves, pumps and drains. All it takes is a key or something from a pocket to create damage to housings, pump or lines. Whether at home, at work, or on vacation these flooding events go undetected for hours or even days. Washing machines use a huge amount of water and are a major cause of damaging floods that can cause thousands of dollars in damage in no time.
Floodstop can prevent costly damage by sounding an alarm and automatically turning off the water supply as soon as water activates the floor level water sensor.
The Floodstop auto water shut-off runs on AC power with battery backup in case of a power failure. There is also a 'normally open' alarm output that can be connected to an alarm panel, automation system or an auto-dialer if desired for additional protection.
The FloodStop FS3/4H-90 is easily installed in minutes without requiring any special skills or tools!
How it works:
- Each FloodStop valve has female hose threaded spinning collars that screw onto the hot and cold water hose bibs
- Screw hoses onto the outlet end of each FloodStop valve
- Water/leak sensor is placed on the floor behind Washing Machine
- Valves stay open until water loss is detected
- Water on sensor immediately closes FloodStop valves and sounds alarm
- Valves stay closed until problem is attended to and system is reset
- AC powered with battery backup using 4 AA batteries (not included)
- Included water sensor triggers alarm sound and automatically closes both washing machine valves when water is detected
- Includes 2 brass ball valves for hot & cold water connections
- Certified LEAD FREE valves
- Can be connected to alarm or automation system with the on-board normally open output
- Additional FSA-SENSOR sensors can be connected to provide additional protection
- IAPMO certified for health, lead free and Universal Plumbing Code
- UL certified as a plumbing accessory
- Power supplies are certified for Canada and USA
