The GD00Z-8-GC ZWave garage door opener lets you check the garage door status using the included tilt sensor, and can be used to open and close your garage door using your Zwave enabled smart home system.
Unfortunately many newer garage door openers are not compatible with the GD00Z so we recommend the Ecolink GDZW7-ECO as it supports both wired and Secure Code+ rolling code wireless connection to modern garage door openers.
We do not accept returns on GD00Z-8 due to GDO incompatibility so before purchasing - test your garage door opener as noted below.
Linear GD00Z-8 Garage Door Opener and Status Kit Features:
- Includes garage door controller and wireless tilt sensor
- Works with Zwave certified automation controllers
- Main unit connects to garage door opener with two wires and pairs to your Zwave system
- Only works with garage openers that can have the door opener button 'shorted' to open/close the door.
- Wireless tilt sensor attaches to garage door to report open/close status
- Visual and audio warning prior to closing door via Zwave command
Kit includes:
controller, tilt sensor, plug-in power supply, mounting brackets and hardware
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The GD00Z opens and closes your garage door by simulating button press of the garage door button inside your garage. You can test compatibility with your garage door opener by using a short piece of wire to momentarily bridge the two garage door button terminals. If this opens, stops, and closes your garage door, then this kit is compatible. If still in doubt or you are not comfortable testing this method, please contact Linear to confirm prior to purchase.
