Extender Mode: The major benefit of this mode is it allows you to extend the distance between two devices without loss of video quality. For example, you want to view a film on a Blu-ray™ player but in a different room--extender mode makes this connection possible.

Splitter Mode: The major benefit of this mode is taking one source video and playing it on many receiving screens. For example, in an office/store setting, you have multiple monitors that need to play the same video and are rather far in distance from each other. Cascade up to 10 display devices with 10 receivers.
