The Platinum Tools ToneMaster high powered tone generator can add a tone to a wire/cable that can be picked up by a tone probe/tracer up to 20 miles away!
The ToneMaster can be used with network wire, signal wire, coax, telephone wiring and similar applications.
When used with a tone probe/tracer, it's a great way to trace cables through walls and enclosures, follow cable runs, and identify wires at connection points.
Traditional tone generators put out a small tone signal that may be hard to detect particularly at larger distances. The ToneMaster has multiple tone level settings to be used on short runs, right up to 20 miles!
We recommend the TP250C ToneSeeker in conjunction with this tool.
