The Lutron Vive PowPak Relay Module with Softswitch is a wire-in radio frequency device using Lutron’s Clear Connect RF technology that allows users to connect and control general purpose loads via Pico remotes; as well as integrating low-voltage NO/NC dry contact closures to communicate occupancy status to 3rd party system such as HVAC/VAV and other building management systems (with compatible hardware)—enabling installers to create simplified per-room HVAC solutions that save on power and maximize efficiency.
Softswitch technology prevents arcing when switching relay contacts, extending product lifetimes during repeated cycling. Supports a wide range of voltages, can be connected to a maximum of 10 Pico remote controls, 10 Radio Powr Savr occupancy/vacancy sensors, and 1 Radio Powr Savr daylight sensor. Mounts to the exterior of a standard junction box through a knockout.
Optional Vive Hub (sold separately) enables simplified setup, control and monitoring of all connected Vive devices via standard web browser or Wi-Fi enabled mobile device.
Please note: Does not work with garage doors, power doors, high-voltage transforming products like microwaves, or external heaters/heating pads/electric fireplaces; improper usage may result in risk of damage, fire, or injury. Contact closures are not rated to control unclamped/inductive loads, to integrate devices like relays, solenoids, motors, etc., consult Lutron’s application notes.
