Flair HIGH SECURITY BALANCED MAGNETIC CONTACTS come with Flair's time tested balanced magnetic switches and adjustable magnets. Installation is easy and the higher level of security is unbeatable.  Balanced magnetic contacts cannot be bypassed using secondary magnets so are used in high security situtions.

The Flair 1010-64XBalanced Magnetic Contact utilizes two high reliabilityRhodium plated reed switches of different sensitivityencapsulated in epoxy inside a recessed mounted fireretardant case. When the rare earth magnet is in placeand properly adjusted, one switch will be open and theother will be closed. This normal configuration will change should one of the following occur; (1) the normally closed switch will open by either the deliberate shunting of the magnetic field or if the door/window is opened, (2) the addition of a magnetic field of the same polarity as the contact magnet will cause the normally open switch toclose, and (3) the addition of a magnetic field of opposite polarity as the contact magnet will cause the normally closed switch to open. An end-of-line resistor may be used to allow a pre-deter-mined trickle of current to flow and permit operation froma supervised line at all times. A change in current whenthe switch closes causes a signal to activate the alarm.See Installation instructions for more information.
