The DAPT-4000 is a directional vehicle sensor with a one-mile wireless range, ideal for keeping an eye on inbound or outbound vehicle traffic. This product does not include any probes. The longer range ensures signals are more likely to be properly processed by the receiver.
The sensor only detects vehicles, ignoring large animals or other common false triggers. It is also less likely to send false signals from nearby lightning strikes.
The device uses three CR-123 batteries that can last up to one year. This sensor can operate in a temperature range of -30°F to 120°F and works with any Dakota Alert 4000 series transmitter, probe or receiver.
