The Key Ovation Goldtouch Gel Filled Mouse Pad is 1" thick, kidney shaped for right-hand use only and features a 5 degree sloped surface to slightly reduce the "palm down" position on worksurfaces.  It provides a firmer gel surface for the mousing area and a flush "comfort zone" with a softer gel to reduce pressure on the base of the hand.  This provides support for the wrist and base of the palm without the negative effects of compressing tissues or reducing blood flow which would arise from a raised gel pad.  The edges of the pad are rounded to remove potential pinch points.  The entire surface is covered with low-friction Lycra and the backing is non-skid to prevent unintended movement.
