The HSM200 is a Zwave device designed primarily for, and supported by HomeSeer and Home Troller systems. The HSM200 is a Zwave enabled motion sensor that also detects and reports light levels and temperature.
It is a plug-in device so it does not require batteries that need to be replaced - conversely, care would need to be taken to ensure you have a receptacle where you wish to use it.
The built-in multi-colour indicator can be programmed in Home Seer to change colours to indicate an event... perhaps water sensed, a message received, or alarm condition. Or it can be programmed to be used like a night light.
