The sections can be separated a full 20 inches, allowing anyone to position the keyboard in what is a comfortable, neutral position for them. This keyboard prevents the extension of the wrists by employing a 0 degree slope from the front to the back - most keyboards have a 10 degree positive slope. This model uses Cherry MX Red Quiet Linear keyswitches which use a low activation force and sound-dampening components to make them quieter than conventional mechanical switches. This is the model with Cherry MX Red Linear switches, this keyboard is also available in a model with Cherry MX Brown Low Force Tactile switches (KB900-BRN).
