Product information summary
About the product
The Alarm.com 4G LTE Universal Communicator is a takeover device designed to modernize older landline 'POTS'-style security systems via universal PTSN. As a universal takeover device, the Alarm.com Universal 4G LTE communicator can retrofit almost any legacy alarm system using antiquated landline networking, such as: DSC, Honeywell, PIMA, GE, Paradox, Intelbras, Visonic, Texecom, and many more.
Alarm.com app administration and extended Wi-Fi automation options can transform defunct or unreliable, local-only panel alarm systems into modern, IP-administrated security systems with extended automations and smart security features.
Panel-agnostic administration means users can wirelessly arm and disarm alarm systems remotely, as well as receive alerts for power failures and other system malfunctions-- Smart Connector technology also provides monitoring for multiple partitions, allowing users to arm the panel, or set the panel to away/night configurations.
4G/LTE networking provides lightning-fast responsiveness, along with 2G fallback for reliable networking-- even in remote installs. Remote firmware updates keep your communicator up-to-date, and future software improvements like remote Alarm.com control panel access (coming soon) expand the reliability and convenience of older alarm systems without expensive retrofitting or complete rip-outs.
Compatible with Alarm.com video devices and control panels for extended in-app control; including geofencing, video and Wi-Fi automation. Requires active subscription to Alarm.com services, installers can take advantage of additional RMR service opportunities for clients; even on retrofits!
