About the product
The Aeotec TriSensor 8 is a ZWave 800 Long-Range equipped multi-sensor that can detect motion, light levels and ambient temperatures. Compatible with a wide variety of smart home ecosystems, including SmartThings, Hubitat, Home Assistant, HomeSeer, Vera, ISY994ZW and more.
ZWave 800 Long-Range technology, when paired with a compatible hub, allows users to monitor areas up to a full 2500' away from the home controller (line-of-sight)-- greatly expanding the range of the system when compared to older ZWave or LAN-based sensors while maintaining full backwards compatibility for older hardware and hubs.
Motion sensing can detect subjects as far away as 10m (33'), while the light sensor measures ambient lux from 0 to 30,000 and temperature from a -10 to +50C range. Using a single CR123A battery (included), users can monitor the environment of virtually any room-- like greenhouses, garages, and more-- for up to 1.5 years in between battery changes.
