The DCPA-4000 driveway alarm kit from Dakota Alert comes with a 250-foot probe. It is ideal for locations with large animals passing through that could trigger false alarms,  as this system only detects vehicles and nothing else. The probe is buried underground, ensuring discreet security, while the transmitter is weatherproof and perfect for the harsh outdoors.
The transmitter operates using three CR123a batteries, with a 250-foot burial wire for the probe. If the probe is buried parallel to the driveway, it can detect vehicles within 10 to 12 feet. A signal will be sent from the kit to the RE-4K+ receiver up to 1 mile away.
When the kit is connected to the RE-4K plus receiver, the receiver can play one of 16 tunes to distinguish different zones.
