Compared to the basic version iBoot G2, the iBoot G2+ web power switch adds the following features:

  • USB port for power control
  • 2 additional IP address for ping monitoring
  • Heartbeat auto reboot (monitors a windows client)
  • Graceful shutdown/restart of a computer or server running Windows
  • Available lower cost expansion devices adding up to 2 more controlled outlets
  • Additional inputs/outputs

The iBoot G2+ is designed to be used for home and business applications.  It provides remote power control and rebooting via power cycling from anywhere on the local LAN or over an Internet connection.  iBoot lets the user manually control power, check status and remotely power cycle equipment such as routers, computers, servers, digital signage, kiosks or datacenter equipment from anywhere using a simple web interface.  Or set up scheduled power control or power cycling.

iBoot can pay for itself quickly by eliminating travel to remote sites or server rooms and helping to prevent down time. 

The AutoPing feature can be set to regularly 'Ping' a computer or network device and automatically cycle power if the Ping goes unanswered.

In addition to simple Ping monitoring, a Windows client is included with iBoot G2+ that provides heartbeat detection and can trigger a power cycle if the heartbeat fails.  Furthermore the iBoot G2+ can gracefully shut down and restart Windows PCs or servers to help prevent potential data loss caused by a forced shutdown.

The new iBoot cloud service eliminates the worry of tracking WAN IP's or setting up port forwarding and allows deployment in environments where inbound port forwarding isn't allowed.  The cloud service also makes it easy to manage multiple iBoot units from one central location.

Unlike many competing devices even at a higher cost, reliability and safety are of utmost importance so iBoot products are UL listed for USA and Canada.
