El TS-855X de alta capacidad cuenta con seis bahías para unidades SATA de 3,5 pulgadas, dos bahías para unidades SATA de 2,5 pulgadas (para SSD) y un procesador de 8 núcleos compatible con la tecnología Intel QuickAssist (QAT), lo que facilita enormemente la implementación de entornos de almacenamiento y virtualización de datos. La conectividad de alta velocidad integrada de 10 GbE/2,5 GbE facilita el acceso rápido a datos, copias de seguridad y restauración, servidores de archivos y aplicaciones de virtualización. Con el sistema operativo QTS de serie, el TS-855X puede configurarse para usar el sistema operativo QuTS hero basado en ZFS según sus necesidades.
